The IOC reforms have kindled the hopes for many sports like Baseball/Softball, Karate to get a place in the Olympics Games in Tokyo. IOC Session unanimously approves Olympic Agenda 2020

The new year starts on the note that Street BasketballĀ is looking for a place in the Olympic Games in Tokyo! We had to search for Wikipedia to exactly understand what is Street Basketball in the first place.

Streetball or street basketball is a variation of the sport of basketball typically played on outdoor courts, featuring significantly less formal structure and enforcement of the game’s rules. As such, its format is more conducive to allowing players to publicly showcase their own individual skills.

International Basketball Federation (FIBA) president Horacio Muratore informsĀ that new International Olympic Committee reforms had made street basketball, three players against three, a prime candidate for 2020. Baseball had earlier been in the Olympics, but, Street Basketball has never been and its inclusion in Olympics will be interesting to watch if it finally does get in.
