Hamarikyu Gardens to get a guesthouse for Olympics
Akasaka area of Tokyo has the official guesthouse to welcome dignitaries and special guests including the ones from overseas. Tokyo Governor Yōichi Masuzoe made an interesting announcement today that the Japanese style garden, Hamarikyu Gardens, the site of a villa of the Tokugawa family (ruling family of Japan) in the 17th century will get a new guesthouse in view of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Governor announced that VIP’s or special guests of the Olympics will be brought to the guesthouse at Hamarikyu Gardens through a boat ride from the Rinkai Area (in Koto Ward) where the games will be primarily held. Interesting, but there are already voices in media as to whether this cost is necessary… We will see. READ MORE (HAMARIKYU GARDENS) HERE
